Bikes at Work is a Melbourne-based business offering high-quality, accredited bicycle skills, safety and confidence training for individuals, community groups, councils and workplaces.
We specialise in innovative active transport and health promotion initiatives for organisations such as workplace bike fleets, DIY bike maintenance, defensive cycling and skills workshops for employees.
Bikes at Work is a part of the award winning Wheel Women cycling coaching team and we just love seeing more people get on their bikes and using them for active transport.
What classes do we run?
It's all about skills, confidence, safety.
Community classes are offered through councils, recreation groups, clubs and community organisations wishing to provide bike confidence skills. The sessions can be designed to suit your group whether they are younger, older, beginner or well established riders.
Workplace Training provides businesses with the opportunity to train staff in safety, bike handling and confidence in using their bikes for work. Sessions cater to the specific needs of your business and we can provide consultation services to equip your business with the correct approach to sustainable transport.
It's tricky teaching your kids to ride, and even harder to learn as an adult...we can provide Learn To Ride lessons for children and adults. We have a great track record of getting people started fast.
We also cater to those riders who want to improve their skills, need help with starting out as a commuter or those wanting individual training plans.
Our school training programs are designed with many hours of experience of teaching children riding. The program will be tailored to your needs and budget and will teach a range of skills including preparation for riding, riding safely, safety checks, emergency stopping, using gears, scanning, signalling and riding on different surfaces as well as the footpath. Teaching kids to ride safely is a life skill
Intense Sessions are a great choice to improve your athletic performance. Through a strategic mix of theoretical lessons and practical sessions, class participants become comfortable with the game both on and off the field. If you’re looking to elevate your game, Intense Sessions at Bikes@Work is for you.
